Arlington, Virginia residents witnessed a black bear wandering Monday, days after denizens of the Brookland neighborhood in the District of Columbia saw a juvenile male black bear.

The bear was eventually …“We highly recommend that residents keep their pets inside, take down bird feeders and make sure that trash is secured or brought indoors,” the nonprofit Animal Welfare League of Arlington said in a Facebook post.
Another resident, Marianne Glick, told NBC affiliate WRC-TV, “My sister chased him out of our yard and then he started walking across the street.” AWLA said it planned to let the bear wander out of Arlington County on its own. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources told WRC that it could be the same bear seen in Brookland Wednesday, based on the direction it was traveling.
