According to CNN, Representatives Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, Abigail Spanberger of Virginia, Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania, Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey and Elaine Luria of Virginia, were the “fearless” voices that were decisive on the impeachment question — a declaration that makes precisely no sense.
By the time these congresswomen won their seats on Election Night 2018, articles of impeachment had long been filed. A national conversation on the viability of impeaching Trump was already well underway. Other freshmen members of the 116th United States Congress, the mostclass in American history, had led a vocal, influential movement for impeachment.
“Very early on when I recognized that this man was a flawed character, calling names, and being disruptive and dog-whistling in a way that began to turn people on each other with the Muslim air travel ban and on and on, I knew that he was undeserving of the presidency,” Waters told. “So I wanted to create the discussion and get people focused on the fact that we have a dangerous human being occupying the highest office of the land.
