A slain Birmingham girl has been identified as 14-year-old Moriah Quib-Marques. She attended Ossie Ware Mitchell Middle School. Her mother also suffered life-threatening injuries during a Wednesday morning shooting.

“I could see a guy standing in the middle of 80th Street with a long gun just shooting randomly,’’ he said. “When I saw that I called 911. The only thing I knew was the SUV had crashed into the pole.”Finton is a member of the North East Lake Neighborhood Association. “The crime due to the blight is just ridiculous,’’ he said. “We can get no support from City Hall.”
