“It seemed like … like he was enjoying how afraid I was,” she testified. “He was smiling like a Cheshire cat, staring me down as I was screaming to get away.” Other women who came forward that day tearfully accused Hobbs of groping or kissing them without their consent, the Chronicle reported. “I would like to thank the jury for their careful consideration as to each of the counts,” said Assistant District Attorney Brittney Delgado in the May 18 release. “The women who came forward to report this conduct and came to court to testify about their experiences can now feel even more confident that what happened to them has been taken seriously and will continue to be taken seriously by the citizens of San Francisco.
