Big brand supermarket was the most expensive - but is now third cheapest behind Lidl and Aldi
A new supermarket has become third cheapest behind Lidl and Aldi for the first time in our comparison of basic groceries.
But it's had quite a turnaround over recent months - so much so that it is now third cheapest in our ranking behind Lidl and Aldi. Morrisons has also increased the price of meat, putting its 500g pack of mince up from £1.89 to £1.99, making it £11.77. Our own big shop there proved why it's become so appealing to shoppers looking for both budget prices and big brands in the one place.
