Last month, Biden had a briefly concerning moment when he tripped and fell onstage after handing out the last diploma at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado. The president received aid from Air Force officials and Secret Service and stood back up quickly. When the president was back up and standing, he pointed to a black sandbag where he had stumbled and fallen, then walked off of the stage on his own power.
Biden announced in April that he will be seeking a second term in 2024 as president. He is the oldest U.S. president in history.Biden's trip to Europe included stops in the United Kingdom, at the NATO summit in Lithuania, and in the new NATO member country Finland. At the NATO summit, Sweden made steps to continue its track to be invited as the 32nd member of the alliance, but Ukraine does not have a timetable to join the organization. Despite the lack of a timeline for Ukraine causing frustration for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the alliance reaffirmed support for the country in its war against Russia during the annual meeting.
