Joe Biden has an “irregularly irregular” heart beat and is taking medication to control cholesterol but is otherwise in good shape and ready to serve as president, according to medical records released today
"Vice President Biden is a healthy, vigorous, 77-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State, and Commander in Chief,” Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin C. O'Connor, said in a statement. O’Connor served as Biden’s doctor from 2009 to 2017, while he was vice president.
Dr. Neal Kassell, who performed the aneurysm surgery on Biden three decades ago, told POLITICO that Biden “is every bit as sharp as he was 31 years ago. I haven’t seen any change.” Kassell said he’s so certain of Biden’s health that he’s supporting his presidential bid.
