A new Gallup poll found President Biden's job approval rating to be at a record-low 37% among American adults amid his re-election campaign announcement.
, 31% of independents and 4% of Republicans said they approved of Biden's job performance. Gallup noted that the 31% approval from independents ties his lowest score from the group, and is down nine percentage points from February.
According to the poll, Biden's worsening job approval corresponds with American's increasingly negative views on. It found that just 16% rate the economy as excellent or good; 37% rate it as"only fair"; and 47% describe it as poor, an increase from 43% who said the same in March.
