Police say William Moore, 66, was fatally struck by an unknown vehicle on the Southeast Side earlier this week.
Columbus police are looking for a Toyota Camry that may have been involved in a hit-skip crash that killed a bicyclist Tuesday night on the Southeast Side.
William Moore Jr., 66, of Columbus, was identified Thursday by Columbus police as the bicyclist who was riding south on South Hamilton Road near Refugee Road around 9:14 p.m. Tuesday when an unknown vehicle traveling southbound struck Moore, knocking him off his bicycle.The unidentified driver fled the scene before police arrived. Police said a passenger side mirror believed to belong to a white, 2009-2013 Toyota Camry was recovered from the scene of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Columbus Division of Police Accident Investigation Unit.
