Beyonce doesn’t call herself Sasha Fierce for nothing as her mum Tina Knowles has joked the superstar could be ‘mean’ in the height of stress backstage on her Renaissance tour. In her latest interview, family matriarch Tina, 69, shed some light on the chaos that went on behind the scenes on Beyonce’s latest tour, which saw her wear multiple outfits each night from a choice of 600 stage looks.
During a performance in Chicago, the Halo hitmaker sang ‘turn the fan on’ in the middle of ballad 1+1 when she noticed her beloved wind machine wasn’t working. Her crew were clearly not paying attention as she flashed a bombastic side-eye and the sassiest of hair flicks before continuing on with the song. An extended clip of the awkward moment showed Beyonce’s hair blowing in the breeze proving they were luckily able to get the AC working.
