While I sometimes disagreed with a few of Senator Toomey’s decisions, he was overall, a very good US Senator for our State.
I want to wish our retiring U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey well in his retirement. Sen. Toomey is a moderate to conservative GOP leader who kept his promise to only serve two terms in the Senate and three terms in Congress, representing the Lehigh valley area from 1999-2005.
Mr. Toomey was a successful businessperson, with real world experience, and not another career politician. This is one of his best attributes. We need more people of real world experience in public office, and less of the career politicians. Our nation’s founders believed that those in elected office should be term limited, as in serve your term in office and then go back to the real world/private sector.
While I sometimes disagreed with a few of Sen. Toomey’s decisions, he was overall, a very good U.S. Senator for our state. Thank you for your service Pat Toomey, and best wishes in your retirement. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
