Downtown Conroe, Bad Bob’s Christmas Bash and Market Street are among the best places to see holiday decorations in Montgomery County.
Bob Price, leader of the Conroe Jazz Connection, goes all out for Christmas in preparation for his annual Bad Bob's Christmas on the Lawn Bash at 6 p.m. Dec. 17.Tis the season for twinkling Christmas lights, holiday storefronts and all the festive decorations that come with the holiday season.
Residents in the area report the displays are still coming together for the season but expect many more decorations as Christmas nears.All of the buildings in downtown Conroe are topped with red and green lights. The trees in Founder’s Plaza and Heritage Place Park are wrapped with sparkling white lights as each street lights in downtown.
Many of the storefronts have holiday displays that take visitors back to yesteryear when the downtown square was the heart of the city.The Market Street shopping destination in The Woodlands features a 70-foot Christmas tree in its Central Park common area. The over-the-top display is all in preparation for his annual Bad Bob’s Christmas Bash on the Lawn. It’s always the Saturday before Christmas at 6 p.m. This year it’s set for Dec. 17.
