Sen. Bernie Sanders is vowing to soldier on despite a disappointing Tuesday that saw his path to the Democratic presidential nomination narrow considerably.
WASHINGTON –
"Donald Trump must be defeated and I will do everything in my power to make that happen," Sanders said in a brief address from Burlington, Vermont, Wednesday afternoon."On Sunday night, in the first one-on-one debate of this campaign, the American people will have the opportunity to see which candidate is best positioned to accomplish that goal."
Biden collected the biggest prize – Michigan – delivering a symbolic blow to Sanders while denying him what might have been his last best chance to regain momentum. Sanders' win in Michigan in 2016 was seen as a turning point in his candidacy, and the campaign this time had high expectations there.
