Bernardo Silva did his maths wrong and changed his mind
Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva changed his mind during his post-match interview after the draw against Arsenal.Earlier in the day, Jurgen Klopp’s side came from behind to beat Brighton at Anfield thanks to goals from Luis DIaz and Mohamed Salah.and Everton as they seek to end Klopp’s final season at the club with a 2nd Premier League crown.
Following a frustrating draw against Mikel Arteta’s men, Silva admitted City face an uphill battle to win their fourth title in a row as they depend on other team’s results going their way. However, it appears the Portugal international misread the table, thinking City only had seven games remaining to turn it around.“A lot can happen now, because seven games right?,” before Sky Sports Patrick Davison told him there are nine games left.
Silva replied: “Oh nine? That’s better for us. I thought it was like seven or eight but nine is better because a lot can happen.”“Now we don’t depend on ourselves. We depend on Liverpool and Arsenal now because we don’t play against them again, so we need them to drop points as well as do our job and win our own games.
