People in the South Ayrshire town of Kilbirnie have been searching Google about bed bugs more than any other place in Scotland.
The outbreak of bed bugs in Paris has sent a wave of panic internationally as Google data reveals the places most concerned about the pests.
Using figures posted by Google Trends, the Mirror has identified the areas of the country where residents are most concerned that they may have been infested. The top spot, St Leonards-on-Sea, faces directly towards the Normandy coast and is also geographically among the closest towns in Britain to Paris, so it is perhaps understandable why the seaside town is concerned about bed bugs.
