EXCLUSIVE: As Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary, experts tell OK! both Eugenie and her sister Beatrice have found long-lasting love
Congratulations are in order for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank this week as they celebrate five years of marital bliss. The couple tied the knot at St George’s Chapel, Windsor on October 12, 2018 and have since gone on to have two sons, August and Ernest.
Despite this, Prince Andrew and Sarah still live together in Windsor and have a close friendship. In fact Sarah, who also celebrates her 64th birthday this week as she continues to recover following her Breast Cancer diagnosis, admits they are “the most contented divorced couple in the world”. In the last generation, the royal family has moved away from only allowing ‘suitable’ marriages to instead recognising the value of partnerships based on love. And former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond feels that’s key for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
The support of their spouses has been essential to the two Princesses as they’ve dealt with various family challenges, including their father’s fall from grace, the death of their beloved grandmother the late Queen Elizabeth II and their mother’s Cancer diagnosis. "You could say that they’ve learned from their parents’ mistakes and have taken a quieter route to find love, ignoring the limelight and choosing to focus on what really makes them happy.
