As the news of Nick's passing reverberated, tributes poured in from across Scotland and beyond. First Minister of Scotland, Humza Yousaf, led heartfelt tributes in the Scottish Parliament, praising Nick as an "extremely talented journalist and author." Nicola Sturgeon posted on X: “So terribly sad to read this. It is truly awful. Nick was young, talented, vivacious, and full of potential. What a horrible, senseless loss.
