The BBC iPlayer is struggling to cope with the demand of England’s first game of the 2022 World Cup.
England are playing their first game at 1pm in the U.K., when many people are at work. It seems the weight of demand from people trying to stream England’s game with Iran has brought the service down. Although the BBC iPlayer website and apps are accessible, they are struggling to show streams at the time of writing.Although my internet connection is fine, the app is reporting “no network connection”, and many other viewers have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration.
