The second BBC Gladiators semi-final will not air on Saturday night
BBC Gladiators fans will be disappointed to hear that the much anticipated semi-final has been pulled from the BBC schedule in a major shake-up.
The football match will air in the usual Gladiators spot from 5:10pm to 7:40pm. It is expected that the missing episode will air a week later, which means viewers will have a two-week gap between shows.The reboot of the classic 1990s show has seen huge success with an average of 6m viewers tuning in for the launch episode, and a total of 8.7m watching it in the first seven days since its release.
It comes as weightlifting champion Sheli McCoy, who is known as Sabre, recently gave fans an update on how she is doing after receiving an injury on the Gladiators. The star tore her hamstring while battling Sheffield firefighter Bronte Jones during The Edge challenge. Speaking to Metro, she opened up about the recovery process. "Rehab went really well, I’ve had so much support from the physio in Gladiators, and a lot of people up here, professionals, have helped me, physios and chiropractors,” she said.
