Jon Kay opened up about the 'raw' death of his childhood pet rabbit, Hazel, on BBC Breakfast, but his co-host Sally Nugent couldn't help but laugh at his story
Sally Nugent was left in stitches on BBC Breakfast as her co-host Jon Kay opened up about death of his pet rabbit. The pair fronted the show on Tuesday, 26 March together, and discussed the day's newspaper headlines.
Jon admitted he did have a beloved rabbit as a child, who was called Hazel. Sally jokingly asked her co-host if his bunny was "for life" as the conversation took a morbid turn. He said: "I think it was Watership Down. But of course that didn't end well either!" Sally then tried to end the conversation, as she added: "That didn't end well! Aww Jon, should we finish on high?"
