The company, which has its headquarters in Oakland, will eliminate about 200 positions, CEO Linda Rendle wrote in a“Thankfully, the total number of people impacted is less than that as we were able to redeploy some teammates to other areas of the business and close some open positions,” Rendle wrote., Clorox listed four floors — about 80,000 square feet — of its office space at 1221 Broadway for sublease. The company has been vocal about its embrace of hybrid work.
“Similar to many other companies in the Bay Area and throughout the United States, we are continuously exploring options to make more efficient use of our office space as we embrace and adapt to new ways of working,” a spokesperson for Clorox told SFGATE in a statement in November 2022. “This potential sublease, which could take up to two years to complete, will have no impact on employees who currently work in the building.
