Northern California high school cancels football season after athletes filmed staging ‘slave auction’ prank
“This has been a very difficult week in Oakland because of the shooting that happened on Wednesday, and certainly tensions are high across the district,” Oakland Unified School District spokesman John Sasaki told the Bay Area News Group on Saturday, referring to a that left at least two people in critical condition. “There’s a lot of concern about community, school and student safety. Because of how rough this week has been, the decision was made to, unfortunately, cancel the game.”The forfeit dropped Skyline to 1-3.
