Battlefield 2042 Season 2 is coming - and with it comes a chance for EA to redeem itself after a bumpy launch.
This was confirmed in the video, with EA confirming a Renewal Map update in September towards the start of the season. Later on, the studio says it’ll also update Orbital later in the season.
While it’s not given a specific date yet, the team has also put out an initial roadmap, which indicates that Season 3 is aiming to land at some time after November.In addition the new map changes, there’ll be an update to the Specialists look and feel. A further update is being made to the Specialist Class System, but that’s being held back to Season 3.
The video does confirm a New Specialist, New Weapons, New Vehicles and, of course, an all new Battle Pass. The roadmap also teases New Experiences, more weekly missions and more community Spotlights.Elsewhere, there are already leaks coming about Battlefield Season 2 which, if substantiated, will be incredibly welcome to the game., claim a stealth bomber could be making an appearance – although, we must stress, this has to be taken with a pinch of salt.
There are also claims new weapons and specialists may arrive, which would make a lot of sense as it mimics the features added to Season 1, namely:
