Palestine Action has claimed responsibility - with another business also targeted
A high street bank which has become a repeat target for pro-Palestine protesters has issued a statement after two city centre branches were covered in paint overnight. Campaign group Palestine Action has claimed responsibility after the Barclays branches on Market Street and Mosley Street were vandalised.
Police have taped off both banks this morning and enquiries are ongoing. Palestine Action has also claimed responsibility for targeting the BNY Mellon office in Manchester overnight - another repeat target for protesters in recent months.In a post on X claiming responsibility this morning , the protest group claims both Barclays and BNY Mellon 'invest in Israel’s largest weapons firm, Elbit Systems'.
