The singer revealed his affection for a popular Merseyside band
The music legend speaks to musicians from across the world on his Rocket Hour radio show and podcast. A clip of Sir Elton, who played at Anfield for his farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, was released today from the latest episode.
“He adds so much to your sound and it's very unusual for a band to just have a trumpet player and I think.. I'm completely bowled over by the sound of your record.” In response, Elton said: “I'm so happy for you guys. It's so lovely to see people that have known each other and are local. Liverpool’s music has obviously always been very important.”
"You see it every time you go into town. We've been to see countless bands there that you look up to and you wonder 'how have they got there, how do they do that?'.
