Texans got four wins, but Ravens might get more from David Culley’s one season in Houston
The big winner of Culley’s time in Houston? That might end up being his former employer, the Ravens.
Baltimore, where Culley was an assistant for two seasons before the Texans hired him as a first-time head coach at age 65 in January 2021, was awarded two compensatory picks in the third round of the 2021 and 2022 NFL drafts for “developing” Culley as part of a new NFL program rewarding teams who have a minority staff member hired as a head coach or executive elsewhere. .The Houston Chronicle’s Brooks Kubena discuss the Texans’ draft haul and how the selections address roster needs.
