Schenker added: “This deal provides us with a long-term launchpad for new international co-productions. We couldn’t be more pleased than to be in business with the talented teams at Reshet13 on this strategy, which we have been successfully implementing both inside and outside of Israel.”
Reshet13 Deputy CEO Meir Kotler said the move will “increase the scope of our investment in local talent and creativity.” Formerly Tadmor Entertainment, Sipur was founded with backing from Israeli tycoon Gideon Tadmor and the outfit carries financial muscle from multiple investors including Poalim Equity, Israel’s largest bank. Projects includethe shock doc that unearthed transcripts of Adolf Eichmann proudly boasting of his role implementing the Final Solution in the years before his trial. It won five Israeli Television Academy Awards.
