The grandmother's daughter tragically passed away weeks after giving birth to her miracle baby.
An Ayrshire gran hopes a vile child abuser rots behind bars after he left her tragic daughter's baby girl battered and bruised.
The 34-year-old mum was only 30 weeks pregnant when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer – after medics found a 20cm tumour. And she has told how the brute had already inflicted blows to her tiny granddaughter before her daughter was even laid to rest, with the tot’s face covered in bruises at the mum’s funeral.
“It was just a relief that it was all over. The thing that has been hanging over us for three years was finally done.” “She was coming home on the Monday, for end of life care. And he was shouting at the baby to 'shut the f*** up'.“I said ‘Mark, I know you're stressed but you can’t do that.’The grandmother, who works in healthcare, sought advice after noticing that bruising was starting to appear on her granddaughter.
“I work in healthcare and I said to some of my colleagues, they advised me right away to get it checked out.“They ran tests and found she had two fractures to the skull and bruising to the brain.
