But we are undeniably in a quiet period of awards season, with the nominations now two weeks in the past and the Oscars themselves about a month away.
Monday will bring the Academy’s annual nominees luncheon, where everyone from sound designers to Martin Scorsese will gather elbow-to-elbow for the traditional class photo. From there it’s off to the races, with awards shows, tribute awards, Q&As, cocktail parties, and everything else you can imagine to get in front of voters before winner voting ends on February 27.
