Authorities said that the 72-year-old woman was injured at her home in the 4400 block of South St. Louis Avenue.
A Brighton Park woman died as a result of a house fire, as well as a host of health maladies, an autopsy showed Saturday.
Paula Flores, 72, was pronounced dead on Sept. 16 at Stroger Hospital following a fire at her home in the 4400 block of South St. Louis Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.An autopsy determined that Flores died of complications of thermal and inhalation injuries, as well as various ailments that included COVID-19, diabetes and dementia, the medical examiner’s office said. Her death was ruled an accident.
Chicago police said they had records of a fire at the address on Aug. 31 and that it was classified as non criminal, but had no further information.
