A 25-year-old woman was found dead inside the camp, authorities said.
SUNNYVALE — The woman who was killed when a fire tore through a homeless encampment last week has been identified by authorities.
The woman was identified as 25-year-old Ashley Tali, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office. Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety officers responded on Dec. 29 around 6:30 p.m. to a fire at a homeless camp in the back of a commercial building in the 200 block of San Geronimo Way, according to a news release. Two people were trying to put out the fire when officers arrived.
