Authorities ask for public's help to identify man fatally struck on Interstate 805 [Breaking]
Authorities reached out to the public on Monday asking for help in identifying a man who was fatally struck by a vehicle last month while trying to run across a Mission Valley freeway.
The pedestrian, who appeared to be in his early 20s, was hit on Interstate 805 near Interstate 8 on Jan. 12, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.Searches in federal, state and local agencies’ fingerprint databases turned up no matches, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.The man was white, around 135 pounds and 5 feet 5 inches tall, with short brown hair and brown eyes, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
The office released sketches of his face and a tattoo he had on his right upper arm. The tattoo is 2 inches long and 1.5 inches wide.Medical Examiner’s Office at 694-2905 and reference case No. 2022-00253.
