MELBOURNE : Australia coach Tony Gustavsson said he would have no hesitation bringing Sam Kerr back into his starting 11 for Saturday's Women's World Cup quarter-final against France if she is cleared by the team's medical staff.
But Gustavsson said he had no fears about upsetting the Matildas' momentum by using Kerr from kick-off. "We're talking about Sam Kerr. Whether she is ready to play 90 minutes plus extra time, that's to be decided tonight." France manager Herve Renard remarked this week that the pressure will be on Australia as co-hosts on Saturday.
