Austin Water urges SW customers to limit water use June 7 during major line repair that may disrupt service; free water available.
Austin Water is urging customers in the city's southwest area to conserve water and limit non-essential use starting Friday, June 7 while crews repair a leaking 48-inch water line , which may cause low pressure and service disruptions .
To maintain water pressure during the repair, the utility is asking affected residents and businesses to refrain from outdoor watering, power washing, washing cars and dishes, and doing laundry. Customers should also turn off irrigation systems.
