An Aurora man accused of beating and shooting a 30-year-old woman during a Naperville robbery has been charged with attempted murder, Naperville police said.
about 2:45 p.m. June 23 after being ejected from a car in which she was driving with Jarvell Rainey, 21, of the 800 block of Oliver Avenue, and an unnamed accomplice, a news release from the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Naperville Police Department said.
After police identified Rainey as a suspect, an arrest warrant was obtained on June 28 and Rainey taken into custody Monday as he left the Comfort Inn and Suites at 308 S. Lincolnway St. in North Aurora, the release said.
