The German luxury automaker is making the “camouflaged” version in honor of the prototype that came before.
, it’s not the only change to the car’s exterior. This special edition also nets unique 21-inch wheels, quarter windows etched with the model’s name, and red Audi rings. This Audi also opted for carbon fiber mirror caps, a carbon fiber roof, and ceramic brake rotors. The interior also sees some special features, with an embossed model name on the armrest and the model’s name on the infotainment screen.
If you’re wondering where Audi found the model name, it’s simple. During development, Audi referred to the e-tron GT as “project_513/2”. According to Audi, this breaks down to represent the product's segment, generation, and body style while it’s in development. So, it’s only fitting to give the first product wearing a camouflage-inspired livery its development name.
As mentioned, Audi is only making 75 of these, and they’re all headed to the US market. If you’re one of the 75 lucky customers that have a chance to buy this special RS e-tron GT, it’s going to set you back $181,395 when it goes on sale this spring. That’s almost $40,000 tacked onto the base RS e-tron GT and a $17,000 premium over a similarly equipped RS e-tron GT.
