An Auburn man is facing a felony charge after police say he planted a camera in someone’s bedroom without their consent.
Under Alabama law, that crime is committed when, for the purpose of arousing or gratifying the sexual desire of any person, he or she knowingly photographed or filmed the intimate areas of another person, without that person’s knowledge.
Auburn police on May 30 received a complaint from the victim, who reported a camera had been placed in a private location without consent. The victim also reported that recordings were located on the device that were captured illegally without the victim’s knowledge.Police said the crime was not random and that Pilgrim specifically targeted the victim, who was an acquaintance. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
