Auburn went to Rupp Arena and walked out with a 53-52 win against Kentucky on Jan. 9, 1988. That Sonny Smith-led Auburn squad, which finished second in the Southeastern Conference that season, and its narrow victory at Kentucky was the first of such kind in five seasons.
