The robberies in North Center and Lakeview happened within minutes of each other. Police described the suspects as “young.”
At least seven people were victims of armed robbers who were traveling in a white sedan overnight in North Center and Lakeview, Chicago police said.The first robbery occurred around 11:35 p.m. when a 63-year-old woman was walking in the 2100 block of West Grace Street. A white sedan approached and two robbers brandishing rifles got out and demanded her property, police said.
Shortly before 11:45 p.m., a 61-year-old man walking in the 1700 block of West Berteau Avenue was robbed by two robbers who got out of a white sedan with rifles.
