Eyewitness News got a look inside the new relief center ahead of the migrants arrival.

"We've run out of hotels," New York City Deputy Mayor Fabien Levy said. "We've reached the bottom of the barrel. That's where we are." "Randall's island was full, but there was a Title 42 implementation that you might remember occurred right around the time that construction was finished, buses stopped coming into the city," Emergency Management Commissioner Zach Iscol said.
"Fort Wadsworth is a gem. Beautiful views, the community loves it. It's a community asset," she said. "If it is indeed a federal issue our view is the federal government should solve it.""What is wrong with them having the right to work? There's no reason the national government is not staying true to the basic principle of the American experience to allow you the right to work. It's unacceptable," Adams said.
