Bryant Gumbel speaks with Astros manager Dusty Baker for an episode of HBO"Real Sports" that debuts March 21, 2023.WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Astros manager Dusty Baker will be featured on next week's episode of HBO's"Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" that debuts Tuesday. Gumbel visited the Astros' spring training complex March 7 to talk with Baker for the story., leading the Astros to the title in November.
Baker took over the Astros after owner Jim Crane fired manager A.J. Hinch and general manager Jeff Luhnow in the wake of the cheating scandal. Baker led the Astros to Game 7 of the 2020 American League Championship Series in his first season, then to the World Series in 2021 before finally winning it all last season.
The March episode of"Real Sports" also will include stories on Calgary Flames assistant general manager Chris Snow battling ALS, World's Strongest Man brothers Tom and Luke Stoltman and an update on a 2016 feature about a Punjabi language broadcast of NHL games throughout Canada.
