Latest Nottingham Forest news as controversy over Reds' rejected penalty appeals against Everton rumbles on
Everton’s Ashley Young has risked the wrath of Nottingham Forest fans by having a dig at the Reds in a brutal social media post on the back of Sunday’s controversy at Goodison Park.
Come full-time of their 2-0 defeat, Forest were furious. The club posted an angry statement on X highlighting the “three extremely poor decisions”. It was accompanied by two winking emojis and the caption: “Old Skool Tunes For Today.”
Young had said after Sunday’s game he felt none of Forest’s three claims merited a penalty. Asked by Sky Sports which of the decisions he felt were correct, he said: “All of them were right. None of them were given, were they? I think they were claiming for everything. I think the referee was spot on.”
