Colleagues from Asda stores across Scotland have recently raised thousands for charity.
37 members of staff from stores in the likes of Coatbridge, Blantyre and Motherwell, raised more than £6,000 for the Asda Tickled Pink campaign, which funds world-class research and life-changing support.Kelly Alexander, Community Champion at Asda Newmains, said: “It was a fantastic day, the sun was shining and there was lots of fun, laughter, and support from all the colleagues.
"The Community Champions brought tables to set up with lots of water, cereal bars, fruit and goodies to keep everyone going and some colleagues from the stores also joined in with their pet dogs as well.”Community Champion Ann Binks, from the Asda Coatbridge store, added:"The good auld Scottish weather stayed dry to let everyone complete the two-hour trek around the park.
"We’re continuing to hold events in store throughout the rest of the month and are very much looking forward to raising more funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month." As part of its campaign to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Asda Tickled Pink is on a mission to show customers how checking their boobs, pecs and chests can be as normal as their Asda shop.
The campaign has also seen over 200 exclusive pink products hit the shelves.
