It's coming up with some 'game changing' initiatives
Supermarket giant ASDA has said its shoppers are now £175.80 per month worse off compared to June 2021. The retailer has published findings from its Income Tracker which evaluates incomes against rising living costs.
Some shoppers have had to ask staff to stop scanning when they reach a certain limit - which is sometimes as little as £10, M.E.N reports. The average household had £200 per week left after paying tax and essential bills last month – a figure that has fallen for eight consecutive months to a figure last seen in December 2017.
