Urgent recalls have been sent out for a number products with safety issues
A list of all the items that are being recalled, as well as the reason, has been produced and updated by the Food Standards Agency . Some of the reasons for recalls is that some items contain milk or soya which aren't listed on the label as well as others having an incorrect date label.
Viennetta Vanilla Unilever are recalling Viennetta Vanilla because milk and soya are not listed in English on the label. The FSA said this means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to soya. A Unilever spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your co-operation."
Magnum Classic Unilever is recalling Magnum Classic Ice Cream Sticks because they may contain pieces of metal. The possible presence of metal makes this product unsafe to eat. Magnum said: "The safety of people who buy and use our products is always our number one priority which is why we are recalling these products. No other Magnum products are affected - we apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your co-operation."
"No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest quality standard of product quality and safety."
