Xavier Worthy’s record-setting freshman season for the Longhorns may have opened up plenty of opportunities for the wide receiver, but he says he’s focused on improving on the field.AUSTIN — Texas, like most football programs, straps its players with wearable tracking technology — typically in the form of lightweight vests — so it can record and then sift through all sorts of nifty data.
Coaches haven’t noticed hints of complacency or fame fatigue. No requests for special treatment from the Californian, either. Worthy has also benefited from working with new receivers coach Brennan Marion, a rising star in the profession. Marion, 34, came to Texas via Pittsburgh after coaching up 2021 Biletnikoff winner Jordan Addison.“Little tweaks to my game,” Worthy added. “Releases and top of the route .
