After Cheltenham scrapped Ladies Day in favour of gender-neutral 'Style Wednesday', FEMAIL reporter Rich Pelley rocked up to the races in a dress to see how inclusive it really is.
It was a key part of Cheltenham Festival and ran for over 300 years - but for 2024, organisers have decided to scrap 'Ladies Day'.
Here, the brave racegoer shares his diary from the past 24 hours - and some of the guests' rather unwelcoming reactions to his unconventional attire... I opt for a classic black and white Primark dress and puffy, red Matalan hat that go fabulously with a furry pink charity shop jacket I've already got from when I once dressed up as Harry Styles. There's something very freeing about not having your crotch confined. Note to self: must do this more often, when no one is watching.There are three main reactions to my outfit.
