Nearly 50,000 patients were awaiting routine treatment at Shropshire hospitals in July, NHS figures have revealed.
The figures confirm the current state of NHS waiting lists.
Waiting list data shows that 34,754 patients were waiting for non-urgent elective operations or treatment at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust at the end of July, while there were 14,749 at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.
