Armed officers swarmed on a north London neighbourhood this evening after a woman in her 30s was shot in the leg.
The Met Police said it has made no arrests in connection with the incident as detectives continue to hunt for the shooter. Emergency crews including the air ambulance descended on Stamford Hill just after 7.30pm when the woman was gunned down near a busy main road The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre in east London. Her current condition is not knownIn footage posted on social media, dozens of onlookers can be seen watching the situation unfold.A Met police spokesperson said: 'Police were called at about 19:40hrs on Tuesday, 14 May to reports of a shooting near Reizel Close, Stamford Hill.'A woman in her 30s was found with a gunshot injury to her leg.
