The Paramount Theatre’s newest production of “School of Rock” will close out the Aurora theater’s Broadway series and runs from April 12 to June 4.
“The School of Rock” at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora stars : Jaxon Mitchell , Omi Lichtenstein , Julian Wanderer , Leighton Tantillo , Kayla Norris ; David Mattle , Nick Druzbanski and Julia Dale . “School of Rock” will be performed April 12-June 4.The 2003 movie about a slovenly guitar player-turned-fake-teacher was a star vehicle for Jack Black. Now, Druzbanski, 32, is starring as the Jack Black character in the Paramount Theatre’s newest production of “School of Rock.
“Local businesses will put murals up on their windows dedicated to the show and Charlie’s Ice Cream will dedicate flavors based on the show. It really feels like a tight-knit community. On top of that, it’s really special to get to do such high-level work, such large-scale productions, in a regional setting.”“You felt like you were watching an adult movie,” he said.
“Getting the opportunity to do it now in the place that I’ve called home the past five years, it feels really special,” he said. “It feels like a full-circle moment in my career.”“Dewey is a dreamer for sure. He gets caught up in the moment and I think the parts of him that I relate to the most are the passion for music and inspiring other people,” he said.“I think Dewey loves to make people feel good and feel like they are being their most exuberant selves.
